		<description>you may appreciate the powell's bookstore in Portland - there is a main store and then a technical-focused store.  Go to the the techie one, but don't expect to stay longer than an hour or so.  (I found that the more interesting books were greater than 15 years old... everything more recent was already a bit stale / replacable by a good web search)</description>
